On June 17, 2025, the Multimedia Aficionados For Interested Artists (MAFIA), in collaboration with Holy Angel University Marketing, proposed and presented studies at the Marketing Office for a new line of merchandise at the HAU Bookstore.
MAFIA is an organization for individuals interested in the arts, creative work, and the technical side behind them. The students who played a vital role in this collaboration were Luis Miguel Frigillana, Gabriel Selwyn Manguerra, Gilord Ibaretta and Althea Joy Martinez.
In an interview with The Access Point, Frigillana said, “…Our motivation also lies in having our organization have an impact on the future [of] Holy Angel or specifically, HAU creative initiative. It’s a chance to make a lasting impact while also learning real-world collaboration with the professional team.”
The project is about merch designs and the partnership will also benefit the future projects of HAU that are in need of creative, fresh, and new ideas.
Frigillana further added, “It started around the second week of June before freshman orientation org fest. Our adviser, Sir Leonardo Calma Jr., had recommended MAFIA to the HAU Marketing team as they were preparing new proposals for the HAU Bookstore. From there, the marketing team extended a partnership offer along with other benefits and future opportunities that we hope will continue to grow.”
Throughout this partnership, the MAFIA members and the foxes will have a chance to see how multimedia is connected and applied in real-world creative work. It’s not just the foxes who will benefit. Even if it’s only their organization working on the partnership, the output is something that represents the whole HAU community.
For those interested in purchasing their merch designs, it will not be available anytime soon. Hence, they are still undergoing a series of presentations and approvals from the different HAU heads.
