The appointment of a new Academics and Research body, Francisco IV Olpido, has been made clear by the School of Computing College Student Council (SOC – CSC) through their Facebook post, last September 29.

This marks, too, the resignation of Josiah Faith Gorospe from the said position.

He stated that his stepping down was due to personal reasons, alongside conflicts in balancing his organizational duties and academic-related endeavors.

With careful consideration of the SOC-CSC in accordance with Mr. Olpido’s remarkable service and commitment as an Alpha Fox for this academic year, as expressed in the student committee’s post, he will continue to serve as the councilor for Academics and Research for the duration of the term.

Mr. Gorospe continues to be the head of Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC), a uni-wide organization that issues opportunities for students to learn Google technologies and programming.
